 About Us

Good foot care is fundamental to happy, healthy and pain free feet. At Jorvik and Selby Podiatry Centers we aim to provide the highest standard of Chiropody/Podiatry treatments to all our patients and give appropriate advice and support to maintain normal function of the feet and reduce pain.

All Podiatrist who work at the Centre are registered with the Health Professionals Council (HPC) and are members of our porfessional body - The Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists.
We also participate in a programme of continual professional development (CPD) to ensure we keep up-to-date with training and developments within the profession.
  
What can a Podiatrist do for me?
  • Cut toenails;                                                                       
  • Treat in-growing toenails;                                         
  • Remove corns and callus;                                            
  • Treat infections of the skin and nails;
  • Treat Verrucae;
  • Carry out bio-mechanical assessments;
  • Treat soft tissue and connective tissue injuries of the lower limb; 
  •  Prescribe and manufacture Orthotics (insoles and supports to wear inside shoes).

 

 
Company History
 
Jorvik Podiatry Centre opened in March 2005 and has been rapidily growing since then. The centre is owned and operated by Rebecca Hargreaves.
 
Rebecca gained her BSc (Hons) in Podiatry from Huddersfield University in 2001 and worked in a variety of private practices before opening Jorvik Podiatry Centre.
 
Post graduate studies have included a post-graduate certificate in clinical biomechanics - a subject Rebecca has a specialist interest in.
 
Rebecca also sucessfully treats a variety of foot problems with Acupunture including joint pain (such as Bunion pain) and heel pain.
